Unit 4 Reading Response

In this chapter it’s all about design home page and how it’s navigation works. Home page must require site identity and mission, site hierarchy, search, teases, timely content, deals, shortcuts, and finally registrations. Home page is supposed to make us feel what we are looking for or not as well as were to begin and decide whether we should establish it or trust it. Most homepages can really confuse us when we are trying to navigate which is why they have taglines, it’s some type of a small message that defines what the homepage is all about. Navigations come in many ways whether its horizontal or vertical as long as it’s understandable especially pulldowns, sometime it helps but navigation is pretty long. I feel like this is the most common situation I’ve been almost every day whenever I use my computer. I always go to many different home pages and there’s always a lot of navigations to go through, sometime it’s easy and simple while others are extremely long and annoying. Some homepages such as Amazon, Google, and Facebook are one of the best home pages there is, I have no problem going through the navigations for each home pages.
